Why Montessori?

Teachers are trained in the specific developmental stages of the children and create educational environments that perfectly suit their needs. Each individual child will be given challenges and supports throughout their time at Countryside specific to his or her needs. This allows children to deeply study areas of personal interest, discover answers to their own questions, and learn how to seek out new knowledge themselves. Teachers observe of each child’s interactions in the environment and with peers. Combined with their knowledge of child development and academics, teachers develop an individualized learning plan and support a space for each child.

Countryside Montessori members are global citizens. We explore World Geography, and children learn about traditions from a wide range of cultures. More than geographical, we work with the children to teach skills like conflict resolution and support children as they experience varying social dynamics.
